Another sunday in dispatch = another blog.

Didn't end up going to NCR because a cute lil spike came into my life and I love him to death! He is the most adorable Corgi in the world. Im too lazy to post pics right now but I will sometime soon.

I was a lil sad not to go up to NCR cause not only did I want to take a vacation, I wanted to see my friend Cheska who is on Playstations The Tester season 2 since she lives up north. Come to my surprise I get a phonecall from Danielle aka War Princess also from the same show, saying she was going to be in town. Talk about exciting since I haven't seen her since blizzcon. Still sad she lives so far away ( okay about 3k away in NY ) One of the nicest people I have ever met and such a good friend as well ( no danielle I am not trying to be stuck up your ass =p lol ). On the way to pick Danielle up I get a phone call from Cheska saying she is going to be in town as well so I actually got to meet ms Cheska as well! Cheska is also one of the nicest people I have ever met and has always been a good friend to me through the whole tester auditions up to now and I thank you ms cheska for being there for me =).

After all that fun stuff its now Thanksgiving which was awesome. Had dinner with Shannon, her mom, and Jay Jay. Decided not to do anything for black friday cause 1. nothing good was in the ads and 2. broke lol. I did get a new 58in 3DTV and about 6 games from amazon, some movies, and some game accessories. Was a lot more comfy to shop online for black friday rather than sit out in the cold lol.

Thats about it for this edition of my blog. I can't think of anything else to write about

SoCal Regionals

I went, I had fun, got some cool stuff, but I failed. I knew I was going to not do well playing BlazBlue since I was out of practice but my nerves got the best of me during my SSFIV matches. As soon as they called my name for my first match I could feel the jitters. I sat down next to my oppenent, shook hands with him, and then we proceeded to choose our characters. As he goes to choose Abel I start thinking to myself "Great, I suck against Abel." Needless to say he beasted me 2-0. After that match went outside to the lobby of the proud bird and realized that there was a bar there and you better believe I was drinking some Makers Mark and Coke to try and calm my nerves a bit. It was too little to late cause right when I was finishing my first drink I heard my name get called for losers bracket. My opponent picks Balrog and again I think to myself "I have issues with the character as well but I have defeated Balrog players." A valient effort was put forth in this match as I was fighting to stay in the game but my nerves got the best of me and Shoryukened when I shouldnt have. I was defeated 2-1 and spent the rest of the day at SCR drinking, hanging, out and having a great time.

Well NorCal Regionals is less than a week away and I have been caught up playing CoD Black ops. I passed the game on veteran so multiplayer can wait the rest of the week since I need to train. I am hoping a friend of mine helps me out with training. I am sure she is going to be able to help me out with a lot of technique and strategy. I am determined to win one match even if its in losers bracket! Hopefully it goes better than so cal.

Less than a week away and I need to practice big time. I haven't even played blazblue much lately.

There are some things a little more important than gaming which are work and the lakers of course! But Monday-Friday of this coming week I will be handling it!

Extra Life Charity Event

Hi I'm Gus Mendoza and this year I'm raising money and awareness for my local Children's Miracle Network hospital, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

On October 16th, 2010 I'll attempt to play video games for 24-hours straight, and I've asked you to come by in hopes that you'll support me by giving just $1.00 per hour ($24 total).

Your donation is tax-deductible and 100% of your gift goes to help heal sick kids, here in Los Angel...es, CA.

I have no clue why I am decided to write on my blogger but I am going for it. Its been a really long time since I have used this cause I pretty much forgot about it.

Life has been crazy for the longest time and I dont even know where to go with any of it. Its been filled with drama, new beginnings, heartbreak, video games and more Djing again.

To start off, I have met so many awesome people from trying out for the Playstation reality show called "The Tester". I wish most of them didn't live on the east coast cause these would be some awesome people to hang out with for sure. There are some people here on the west coast that I have had the pleasure of meeting irl who are MoMo aka MoMoRocks, Evil_Link, and season one finalist Naucious. I hope to meet many more of these awesome people in the future.

With that said I am also helping Naucious film/edit a music video for his track. For those of you that know me really well, you know I love doing this kind of stuff so I am so grateful that this opportunity has been given to me. I wanna thank Naucious for trusting me and believing in me for this. I am hoping it turns out amazing.

Work wise, I think I was only in dispatch last time I posted anything here. Now I am on a temp assignment as a management employee to run the ART program. ART stands for "Automated Resourcing Tool". Basically what I do is look at the work and the work force and route it accordingly. I love doing this job and its a nice change of pace from dispatch. Whenever the opportunity knocks to be upgraded you better believe I will jump at the chance for it.

So basically since this whole tester thing I have started playing Video Games more and playing ps3 a little more than xbox now. I've been realizing as of late that I think I need to take a step back from this all and focus on some other things that need more attention. I want to get back into working on my car so I can do more drift events, I have this music video that I need to work on, and I have some DJing to work on cause I plan on playing out again.

Quite the sleepy saturday

Yep I am at work again! Working every other Saturday is pretty lame if you ask me but thats okay I can deal.

Last weekend was pretty awesome. On Sunday went up to GMR with Eddie, Jessica, Shannon, and some other peeps and had a good ol time driving the canyon. Dont have any pics as of yet but you can check out duffm4n.blogspot.com to see some of the pictures. After driving gmr I went to the batting cages to practice for the upcoming softball tournament I will be playing in. Its October 11th and 12th for those of you that want to go.

The whole week consisted of watching heroes and trying to move the eff out of the house. The 4 bedroom house fell through and we were kinda bummed about that and then on thursday we went to check out a 3 bedroom house with a pool that was awesome so hopefully the lady calls us back for that one but she hasn't yet =(. Today I think we are going to look at another 4 bedroom house that doesn't have a pool but is cheaper than the 3 bedroom with the pool.

So this is what I am looking at all day long on saturdays. There is my wireless keyboard and mouse! gotta love it.

Todays agenda consists of me obviously working, then Shannon and I are going to my friend D's place in the OC for a birthday bbq. Gonna rockband it up there and after that we are going to drive all the way out to the nine ho nine for my best friends going away party since he is moving to alaska.

"The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor"

So today Shannon and I went to another movie screening, but this time we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into because there was no title on the reservation. All it said was that the movie was a summer blockbuster movie, so I am thinking "yes! Its going to be the Dark Knight!" Boy was I wrong but still, I loved the first two mummy movies so I was excited.

So basically the movie was just ok. The other mummy movies we waaaay better. They said this wasn't the finished product and some of the special effects weren't all there and I really hope they weren't cause some of the effects were terrible to say the least.

The comedy aspect of the movie was pretty good. It was the good kind of cheesy that you would like to see in movies.

The action was all there. The movie kept me entertained with various fight scenes and explosions that anybody would like in a movie like this.

The ending well... Im not going to give it away but it was a little too cheese ball for me. I did write down on the survey that the ending would be perfect without a certain scene in it, so hopefully they make the changes before August 1st when the movie releases.

I won't be going to the theaters to see the finished product of this one. I will wait for the blu ray release of it.

So as you know I bought two Motorola Razrs the other day and put the other one up on craigslist. 4 hours after I posted it up, someone had already sent me an email. I got back to the guy and we arranged a meeting spot and everything. Turns out we both have the same day off which is today. Met him up at the best buy in porter ranch, gave him the phone, he gave me the money, and thats that. Bought both Razrs for $100 bucks, sold one of them for $65 easy. Wonder if I will be able to do the same with the other Razr. Hopefully I can sell it as fast as I did the first one and same with my sidekick when I decide to put it up for sale.

"The Repossession Mambo"

So Shannon and I went to the movies today to see a screening of a movie called "The Repossession Mambo" starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. Yeah the movie title does sound a little lame but the movie was actually a really good. It was put together really well, the pace was perfect, and it had all the elements a movie should have. If you don't like gory movies though, this movie isn't for you.

Not sure when this movie is going to come out but according to www.imdb.com it should be sometime in 2009.

So I posted a couple days ago that I got two Motorola Razrs. I put one up on craigslist the same night I got them and I already have it sold for $65. I am going to meet up with the guy tomorrow since its my day off! I hope I can sell my sidekick that fast if I decide to sell it. Im still debating on getting an iphone.

Case of the Mondays

So I most def didn't want to be at work today at all. It was slow and boring. Its almost impossible to surf the net with supervisors floating around.

The weekend was awesome! Went and saw Get Smart with Eddie, Jessica, and Shannon. It was actually better than I had expected it to be. After the movie we all went to dennys and Eddie and I got the Slamburger which is effin awesome but I have to remember to get scrambled eggs next time so the yolk doesn't run down my hand, chin,... you get the point.

So after work I came home and waited for Shannon to get home and took a trip down to West LA to pick up two of these for $100

Its going to be my replacement for my sidekick when I decide to get rid of it to get the lovely iPhone. Im thinkin about putting up my SK after I play with the new iPhone and see if I like it or not.

Its saturday, the day after 4th of July and I am at work. I guess I am going to start this whole blogging thing again hahaha. I haven't done any blogging since my LJ so here it goes.

Last night was fun. Set off some fire works with some good friends (eddie, jessica, and shannon).

Today I am at work being bored and tired. Later me and shannoooo are gonig to the movies with eddie and jessica. We are gonna see Get Smart and then maybe go to a certain fun spot for some sideways action ;)
